Dravid has provided stability to the Indian middle-order for over six
seasons now. He made his debut at Lord's in 1996 and straightaway had
a six hour stay at the crease that yielded him 95.
Occupancy of the crease is a major factor with him. Since then he has
been consistently India's no 1 batsman overseas. He has the guts, flair,
and orthodox technique that is necessary for success in bouncy pitches
abroad.
One of the four Indian batsman in the current team who have played county
cricket in England, Dravid seems to be a safe bet for a good show in England.
